Manhattan/Riley County Preservation Alliance
(Kansas)

Our mission is to engage the community in the active preservation of its
historic resources by

- promoting historic preservation in the community and surrounding area,
- enhancing economic development through historic preservation,
- and educating the community as to the cultural importance of historic preservation.

We have adopted the Charleston Principles as our guidelines.  The Preservation Alliance was formed in 1994, and one of the Preservation Alliance's early projects was the rehabilitation of the Union Pacific Railroad Depot located in Manhattan, Kansas.
